PET SUPPLY DRIVE
About our Pet Supply Drive
We will collect all pet supply donations from your home during cleaning appointments. Simply leave your donation in a clearly marked bag near the front door on cleaning day, and your team will take care of the rest. You can also drop donations off at our office during regular business hours (weekdays, 9:00am - 5:00pm).
Or join us at our Lyndale Open Streets booth on June 4th for our finale event! We'll be on the corner of Lyn/Lake in Uptown Minneapolis with green living tips, giveaways and a cooling station for people & pets alike!
All things Pet Supply Drive can be found on our Facebook page. This year, we've partnered with People & Pets Together - Minnesota's first exclusively-pet-food shelf. Instead of homeless or foster pets, People & Pets Together focuses on providing pet resources to families in need BEFORE surrender becomes an option. Theirs is an effective approach to pet homelessness prevention. As a 503(c)(3) organization, all donations to People & Pets Together will be tax-deductible. Simply ask us for the proper paperwork. They can always use the following supplies:
*Unopened, dry dog and cat food*
About People & Pets Together
People & Pets Together started in 2009, originally as The Pet Project. Inspired by the economic recession, they felt something should be done to help people keep their pets when crisis strikes. They were built by volunteers and, until recently, were 100% volunteer-run. Since inception, they have worked with Metro-area food shelves to provide pet food to families in need. But food support was just the beginning. They began hosting subsidized vaccination clinics with community partners such as The Aliveness Project and Hallie Q. Brown. Since vaccinations are just one piece of the wellness puzzle, they also established a veterinary grant program in 2011. People & Pets Together are now headquartered at 3755 Bloomington Ave in South Minneapolis. From this location, they serve as a resource center for pets in need.
People & Pets Together - Mission
Our mission is to prevent the surrender of beloved pets by people who lack the economic resources to care for them.
2016 was the inaugural year of Happy Earth Cleaning's newest community outreach project - our annual Pet Supply Drive. The brainchild of our own Supervisor, Brooke Larsen, this month-long event is designed to encourage pet adoption and gather supplies for pets in need throughout Minneapolis and St. Paul. It is our ambition to host one at the beginning of ever summer. And we take some sickeningly adorable photos.
Because we know pets are family.
That's why we're partnering with People & Pets Together to improve the lives of pets across the metro. Won't you help us help them?
